Dogwood Blooms in the White House Gardens

This photograph shows dogwood blooms growing in a White House garden during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration. The image was taken in May 1966. Substantial ornamental gardening was introduced to the White House gardens by John Quincy Adams, and now flowers bloom throughout the grounds.
